With BWT backwash filters, particles and impurities caused by new connections and maintenance work on the pipe network can be kept out. This prevents malfunctions in bathroom and kitchen fittings and household appliances such as washing machines.
But installing the filter is only half the battle. Maintenance of the water protection filter is important and decisive for hygienically safe drinking water. In addition to backwashing every 6 months, it is recommended to replace the filter element every 3 years.
