The BWT Multiblock X is a brass shut-off and connection valve with an integrated bypass, backflow preventer, and bleed valve. It lets you connect a water treatment unit in one compact fitting, replacing the traditional three-valve bypass assembly and eliminating stagnant-water pockets.

Who Is This For?
The Multiblock X is the right choice if:
- You are a plumber or installer connecting a BWT or compatible water softener or limescale protection unit to a domestic or light-commercial cold-water inlet.
- You are a facility manager or property owner specifying parts for a planned softener installation where a qualified installer will carry out the work.
- You need to replace an existing Multiblock of the same thread size (R 1" → DN 25, or R 5/4" → DN 32).

Compatible connection types: armoured hoses or corrugated flexible pipe hoses to the treatment unit.
Not compatible with: hot-water circuits (max. water temp 30 °C), permanent shut-off applications (this is a maintenance shut-off only — see installation note below).
Installation Requirements & Checklist
⚠ Installation must be carried out by a qualified plumber. This fitting is connected to the mains cold-water supply; incorrect installation can cause leaks or loss of water pressure.
- ☐ Confirm pipe thread size: R 1" (DN 25) or R 5/4" (DN 32)
- ☐ Confirm available installation length: 204 mm or 218 mm including thread
- ☐ Shut off mains water supply before starting
- ☐ Install in cold-water supply line only (max. 30 °C water temperature)
- ☐ Connect water treatment unit with armoured hose or corrugated pipe hose
- ☐ Use integrated bleed valve to purge air after installation
- ☐ Verify no leaks at all connections before restoring supply
- ☐ If condensation is expected, fit optional EPP insulation sleeve (sold separately)
Note: The Multiblock X is a maintenance shut-off. It is designed for use during supervised servicing, inspection, or filter changes — not as a permanent isolation valve. During servicing, the integrated bypass maintains water supply to the rest of the property.
Service Interval
The Multiblock X itself is maintenance-free under normal operating conditions. Service intervals are determined by the connected water treatment system (softener or limescale unit). Refer to your treatment system's manual for regeneration and service schedules. The Multiblock X allows servicing of the connected unit without interrupting the water supply to the rest of the building.
